During an ordinary camping trip, a local homeless person who used to be a marine comes across plans for an invasion in America. When he attempts to inform the local Sheriff about what he found, the Sheriff disregards his claims and has him arrested for loitering. The Sheriff’s deputy, however, notices strange interactions among the townspeople, prompting him to investigate the homeless person’s assertion that there is a sleeper cell residing in the small town. Once evidence of a decapitation emerges, others start to fear an attack by the insurgents on their peaceful hometown, USA. As questions and tensions escalate, people wonder why this idyllic beach community, with its quaint and familiar way of life depicted in Norman Rockwell paintings, is being targeted. It turns out that the town’s perception of familiarity is shattered, leading to a situation where truth is elusive and justice appears unreachable. In order to infiltrate the insurgents and thwart their invasion plans, an unlikely group of five heroes must join forces. They are faced with the harsh realities of war, and the consequences of the conflict hit close to home at the Check Point.
